Biography
Academic and professional background
I’m a statistical geneticist with a PhD, passionate about analyzing large-scale data to advance medical treatments. My education in engineering taught me how to be a problem solver, and I love the challenge of learning new things and adapting to new situations.
Current Focus
My current focus lies on analyzing human genetics data to identify biomarkers and drug targets for precision medicine and drug discovery. My work spans academic collaborations, consulting in the pharma/biotech sector, and science communication.
Mission & Values
With a multilingual background and a strong foundation in data analysis, I enjoy solving complex problems and working collaboratively. I'm particularly driven by the potential of biobank-scale (gen)omics data to transform medical treatment and guide data-informed decision-making.
Statistical Genetics Consultant
Biolux Consulting GmbH
I apply statistical genetics and bioinformatics to large-scale biobank and omics data to uncover the genetic basis of disease, identify and validate drug targets, and explore pharmacogenomic relationships. Working across genetics, biology, medicine, and data science, I help clients translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insight.
August 2025Consultant
5 Prime Sciences
Consulting statistical geneticist supporting 5Prime Sciences' R&D on the identification and genetic validation of drug targets.
September 2024Research Collaborator
Unisanté
Research collaborator at Unisanté where I contributed to the analysis and publication of population genetics and epidemiology studies.
March 2024 - March 2026PhD Graduate Student
Unisanté - Statistical Genetics Group
PhD at the University of Lausanne where I worked on integrating the genetics of omics and diseases for drug target and drug response predictions under the supervision of Prof. Zoltán Kutalik. I also participated in diverse collaborations involving the application of Mendelian randomization methods to biobank data (e.g. UK Biobank and All of Us research program) and conducting genomic analyses on an in-house biobank database (Cohorte Lausannoise).
PhD Thesis March 2020 - February 2024Visiting Researcher
Stanford University - Helix Group
Visiting researcher in the research group of Prof. Russ Altman where I worked on pharmacogenetics in diverse populations using the All of Us biobank. This academic research stay was sponsored by the Fulbright Commission.
